Project Rising is a climate resilient health data engineering platform that protects public health data during disasters, network outages, and infrastructure disruptions by combining historical health records with simulated real time weather events through a resilient hybrid data pipeline. The platform ensures reliable, continuous access to trusted health data using robust validation, recovery, and analytics.
Pod leaderMay 2026 Cohort - Data Engineering - MSc Data Science, Nottingham Trent
I am a data engineering professional with a background in Quality Assurance Engineering. I am currently pursuing an MSc in Data Science at Nottingham Trent University while complementing my academic studies through the AI Data Engineering programme at 10Alytics, where I build production-style portfolio projects and develop practical skills aligned with modern data engineering practices.
My hackathon journey with Project Rising was a valuable opportunity to apply both my quality assurance mindset and growing data engineering skills to a real public-health resilience challenge. We worked with historical ASEAN health datasets and built a batch ETL pipeline to clean, standardize, validate, and prepare the data for analysis.
Winner ReflectionWinning this hackathon is a reminder that impactful innovation comes from solving real world problems with strong technical execution. To future participants, take up the challenge, showcase your skills, and build solutions that make a difference.
